June marks an exciting month for SketchWork Productions as we have taken on the position of Rushes Editor and Post Production Editor for a new science fiction movie for which at present the name is still highly classified.

This exciting short movie enters production in Norwich, England at the end of June and is due for release towards the end of the year.

SketchWork Productions have once again taken on the responsibility to event manage the main summer Newquay Event.

After the success of last years "Summer Warm-Up Event" we are pleased to be back in 2008 to bring a longer and more exciting event to the people of Newquay. This year there will be a variety of entertainment for four whole days that will provide for all ages and tastes.

The event dates this year are Friday 22nd August to Monday 25th August 2008. As this is towards the end of the season, this year the event is entitled "Newquay Summer Finale".

SketchWork Productions have recently wrapped on "The Discovery Tour". The short movie is now running daily in the heart of Plymouth.

At the end of 2007 SketchWork Productions were given the opportunity to film the National Climate Change Conference in Plymouth's fantastic National Marine Aquarium.

SketchWork put together a 30 minute preview of the conference for viewing online so you can have a peek into the world on climate change.

Abuse Awareness Project

SketchWork Productions, a film production company, has won what is looking to be the first of several high profile film production contracts this year. The first contract for two 30 minute documentaries will be used in secondary schools throughout the UK in a bid to raise awareness around the issues of rape and sexual abuse, with the aim of educating and informing young people. The DVD's will dispel myths and offer options regarding disclosure, and where and to whom they would go to for help...

SketchWork Productions will be speaking at the Last Friday networking club on the 27th April 2007.

Justin Heasman will be giving an insight into what film can offer your company and how it can help you win more contracts.

SketchWork Productions have signed the deal to host the Newquay, Cornwall's Main Event which is to be held on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd June. This event will take place in a purpose built event marquee and will be held over two days with the two evenings being ticket events.

The daytime will be a buzz of excitement with local acts and short theatrical performances being held in the marquee and the outside will be cramed with a variety of stalls and games.

The first of the ticketed evenings will keep to a traditional Newquay surf theme with entertainment from the UK's most acclaimed professional Beach Boys tribute band. This evening is guarenteed to keep you toe tapping and jiving all evening.

The second evening is completely different and comes in the form of a James Bond themed Casino night entitled "Casino Royale". This evening will be the talk of the town with a "fun-to-play" casino with some great prizes, backed by a full Jazz Orchestra playing numbers from the James Bond movies to give a fantastic not to be missed atmosphere.
