THE RED TAPE PROMO

SketchWork have recently completed a promo for The Red Tape campaign. The promo was developed for the campaign to raise funds and awareness for Avert, the HIV and AIDS charity. Avert is a charity that raise money for families living with HIV and AIDS in Africa.

SKETCHWORK TAKE ON THE CORNWALL COLLEGE TASTERS EXPERIENCE

SketchWork have been busy visiting the different Cornwall College campus' to produce their two new promotional videos for 2009.

The Tasters Experience promo shows what Cornwall College has to offer prospective students and will be shown to schools, while the Elite Sports promo (see earlier news item) is all about getting the attention of elite sports students.

VANITY GIRLS - IT'S A WRAP!

30th December 2008

December saw SketchWork visiting a Newquay nightclub and a very cold junk yard to wrap the shoot for the upcoming Vanity Girls single, "Bring Me Down".

The single is due to hit the market in April 2009 with music video previews in various venues in the new year.

LEARN: LIGHTS, CAMERA AND LEARN: GREENSCREEN TEACHING DVD SERIES

21st November 2008

SketchWork Productions and FXhome have been busy over the last month producing a new series of teaching DVD's. This series will be hitting both the UK and US markets on the 26th November 2008.

This unique series of DVD's will teach you all the in's and out's of camera and lighting techniques and will also teach you how to get the most out of your greenscreen scenes.

The series will be available from the SketchWork Store, FXhome Store and our international distributers.

VANITY GIRLS - "BRING ME DOWN" MUSIC VIDEO

SketchWork Productions have recently signed to produce and direct the Vanity Girls' upcoming music video for their single single, "Bring Me Down".

Along with the video for their upcoming single SketchWork will also be directing a special cut of the single to go into schools.

SKETCHWORK CO-LAUNCHES MUSIC VIDEO UK AND WIN A MUSIC VIDEO COMPETITION

SketchWork Productions along with AMG Records today have launched their new product line of music video packages. To go together with the launch they are proud to bring you a new and very exciting competition in which you can win yourself a professional music video.

All you need to do is write your music video treatment, which is your music video in story form (maxiumum 2 pages of A4) and submit it via any of the methods on the Music Video UK website. The most fun, interesting and original entry will get their music video shot.

SKETCHWORK PROMOTES ELITE SPORTS FOR CORNWALL COLLEGE

SketchWork Productions have recently wrapped on the 2009 Cornwall College - Elite Sports Promotional DVD.

This DVD shows the diversity of sports that the college has to offer including Football, Basketball, Golf as well as some more unusual sports such as Equestrian and Rock Climbing.

The promo will be available online from the Cornwall College website at the beginning of November.

SKETCHWORK SUPPORT BIG BUCK!

This year SketchWork Productions was happy to support the Open Source Blender 3D project, "Big Buck Bunny". Although as a company we use SoftImage XSI as our preferred 3D development environment after seeing what could be created from a free open source application we offered the SketchWork servers to host the UK mirror for the project.

If you are unsure about 3D, a beginner dabbling in 3D or a seasoned pro, check out the final "free to download" High Definition movie, Big Buck Bunny. You'll have to agree that the quality and fine detail they have captured is breathtaking and in many ways far more detailed than what you see from modern day major 3D animation studios.
