Newquay Summer Finale 2009
EVENT INFORMATION AND SCHEDULE


The Newquay Summer Finale is in it's third year this time round and it is back bigger and better than ever. This free to enter event has received some great press over the years as it is one of the only family orientated events in Newquay. The event is sponsored by the Newquay Town Council and is managed by film production company, SketchWork Productions.

The event features: free entertainment in the main marquee, trade and charity stalls in the secondary marquee, rides, bar and refreshments, food, In-Tents Theatre group, free dance and DJ workshops, martial arts demonstrations and of course the Cornwall Has Talent Competition 2009.

Timetable of events for the four days:

Each Day:
Blue Reef Aquarium talks and creature viewing at 1PM

Friday 28th AM:
Cornwall HAS Talent - 1st Heat and Family Fun throughout the day. Entertainment from Tommy's Band raising money for the Tommy's baby charity.

Friday 28th PM:
The Cornwall Has Talent - 2nd Heat will be back in the evening with a guest performance by the ever popular "Buddies for Tea" electro rock band.

Saturday 29th AM:
Free to join Dance Workshops from AMG Records all day long. Any age, any ability or standard, come and learn some amazing routines and amaze your friends.
Also, entertainment from Ed Byrne Martial Arts School, Tommy's Band raising money for the Tommy's baby charity, songs from the musicals by Newquay AOS and Truro AOS and a showcase from the Dance Worx dance company. Look out for the friendly Yeti as he roams the Killacourt today!

Saturday 29th PM:
An evening of live entertainment featuring electro rock band "Buddies for Tea", AMG Records' "Charlie", the winners of Pirate FM's star search "Eden" and "Aishling Dean" one of last years Cornwall Has Talent winners.

Sunday 30th AM:
Family Fun all day plus free to join in DJ workshops by The DJ School - Cornwall and we will be visited by the 10' tall friendly mechanical masterpiece - Titan the Robot (not to be missed).

Sunday 30th PM:
Another appearance by Titan the Robot opens the Newquay Christian Centre Youth Evening. Open to all, the H20 Youth of NCC present a fun packed evening featuring the Skate Ramp, BBQ, fund raising auction and games, live praise by the Lounge Band and special appearance of the H20 youth singing "Any Dream Will Do" from the musical Joseph and the Technicolour Dreamcoat.

Monday 31st AM:
Newquay Town Band kick off the day with some great music followed by the Cornwall Has Talent - Semi Final and the competition is broken up in the day by a performance by last years popular ROC Samba Band.

Monday 31st PM:
Cornwall Has Talent Grand Final (with great prizes including a professional recording session and dance workshops - thanks to AMG Records. Family tickets to Newquay Zoo, Dairyland and the Newquay Blue Reef Aquarium). The evening will also feature performances by AMG Records' "Charlie" and one of last years winners "Aishling Dean". The evening will close by the winners of Pirate FM's star search 2009, "Eden" who will perform their new single.


Skinners Brewery Are Back Too!

Not forgetting that Skinners Brewery are back providing the on site bar with their outstanding selection of Ales.

The bar is open daily from 10am till 11pm.

Skinners have always provided the bar for this great event and we thank them for their continued support in our third year.
